In the last edition, I mentioned the negative impact of AI overview on It’s FOSS future and why we want to create more videos. A few people thought we won’t write text content anymore. But that’s not the case.
We’ll keep on creating text content as usual, but we’ll also put extra effort in making videos.
Oh! And to give you a glimpse of how we are impacted by AI, please look at the crawling stats (by Cloudflare) for the past 7 days. These many visits would have come to the itsfoss.com website but they didn’t 😭
Even if video is not your preferred form of content, please help us reach the 60,000 mark by subscribing and encouraging more people to subscribe to our YouTube channel. As I said earlier, we need this moral boost 🙏

PikaPods allows you to quickly deploy your favorite open source software. All future updates are handled automatically by PikaPods while you enjoy using the software. I use it to self-host Umami analytics. Did I tell you that they also share revenue with the original developers of the software?
Oh! You also get a $5 free credit to try it out and see if you can rely on PikaPods.

💡 Quick Handy Tip
Right-clicking on an ISO in Linux Mint and selecting “Make bootable USB stick” allows you to effortlessly create a bootable USB drive.
Just select the correct USB drive, and click on “Write”. If asked for the system password, enter it, and wait for the flashing to complete. After it is done, safely eject the USB drive, and you are done.
Don’t forget to verify the ISO file before proceeding with this. 🔍
